Google Issued Warning Against Paid Blog Posting

Google webspam team is working fast to attack all that sell or buy any links on the web by any means. Earlier this month Google issued a warning to News websites for disclosing paid news publishing. Google issued fresh news general, technical and quality guidelines.

Yesterday Matt Cutts Google webspam engineers released a video to warn against paid blog posting, articles, advertorials and news editorials published without proper disclosures.

The blogging industry is on the boom these days and is sure to be hit by this warning. Since blog owners are flooded with emails requesting blog postings. The blog publisher demand has surged high in the last few months which makes them greedy. Many bloggers want money before they publish any good content. Good bloggers are now charging money for content and links. The guest blogging industry is moving towards paid links instead of offering good content.

Search engines consider any content published in blogs with the intention to pass Pagerank and improve search engine ranking of websites linked with money must be disclosed clearly and links must be nofollowed. What Matt Cutts says

I want to talk to you today for a little while about fabrics for eels made of advertising and editorial content so let’s talk with the easiest stuff editorial content that’s the meat and potatoes of whatever you’re writing if you’re a blogger as the primary stuff you’re writing about if your newspaper is the news articles that you published online or in your newspaper i think people have a pretty good sense about what editorial cartoons so how about aburto real content for native advertising well its advertising but it’s often the sort of advertising that looks a little closer to editorial bob but it basically means that someone gave you some money rather than you writing about this actually because you know i was interested or because you wanted to

Now bloggers will be on Google’s radar for paid links. Even if some blog publishing companies ask for money you can report the same to Google as paid links. I just talked to Ingrid, CEO of Blog-Posting.Com on this issue. She explained

“It is good to move by Google to keep the blogging industry clean and I think that niche expert content writers will get more opportunities to publish their content for FREE. Greedy bloggers will also learn a lesson if penalized by Google”

It also raises a few questions, Will money paid for blog outreach to guest blogging services company will be considered as paid? I think the answer is No as the blog outreach company charge money for communicating with blogger to publish content. Another side if a blogger outreach company share the money it charges from a customer with the blog owner for publishing, it will be paid blog posting. The future will tell how Google works against this. It is better to work with an honest guest posting agency to get content published. till then

“Keep Calm and Write Good Content”
